Great question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level QA Engineer / Tester now exceeds $100,000, plus benefits (and good luck finding one available). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you’re stuck paying for time you aren’t able to utilize.

With our subscription model, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you’re only paying your tester when you have work available for them.

Once subscribed, you’re able to add as many requests/tasks to your queue as you’d like, and they will be delivered one by one.

When it comes to this, we work as if we were your in-house QA team. This means that we dedicate 8 hours a day for your project, same with any other that we might have at the time. 

This completely depends on the task’s complexity. Simpler tasks that we mostly see take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. However, more complex requests can take longer.

You might be surprised to hear this, but Unbugging is an agency of two. This means you’ll work directly with me and my partner, founders of Unbugging. However, some more complex tasks like automation and exploratory testing of huge applications are sometimes done with help of our partner testers. As our service becomes more popular we will be definitely hiring more testers. 

As you can see in our plan description we said “All types of testing”, that would include: manual testing, exploratory, functional, regression, performance, load, usability, compatibility, data, UAT and API testing. 

All these testing principles/procedures are done manually and on both mobile and web applications.

The difference is with Automate+ plan where with all these types of testing we mentioned, we also do automation, security and stress testing.

We understand you may not have enough requests/tasks to fill up entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two tasks at the moment. That’s where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are based on 31 day period. Let’s say you sign up and use the service for 21 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you’ll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.

We use a wide variety of popular tools and technologies in testing like: Jira, TestRail, Browserstack, Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Burpsuite, Jenkins and many more. 

If your team is using something specific, we can easily adapt.  

Unbugging offers a ton of flexibility in how you give us tasks using Trello. Some common ways clients assign tasks is directly via Trello, sharing Google docs, wireframes, APKs, links or even recordings. Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in Trello, it’s fair game.

It’s important to give us a specific task, you can copy it from your Jira ticket or write it yourself. Simply, give us all the info you would provide your own team of testers with. 

A requests/tasks should be written in a same way as you would write it to your own QA team. 

What QA team needs, to do great job at testing is usually a user story, acceptance criteria, a design/wireframe and some description. 

It’s not end of the world if you can’t provide us all the information mentioned above, just give us a brief description of what you need and we’ll figure it out. 

We usually write our tests in Python (Selenium, Appium, Pytest) or Javascript. If some other programming language or framework would be a better fit for your company, we can easily adapt. 

Yes, we have years of experience in bug bounty and penetration testing in general. 

Security testing can be done on both mobile and web applications. 

That’s fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional testing needs. There’s no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste.
